Kyoko Osato

Kyoko Osato is a weaver based in Melbourne originally from Japan. She has been weaving since she studied Textile Design at RMIT in Melbourne majoring in weaving in 2003. She lived in the UK in 2005
and 2006 and her scarves were sold in markets and shops in London and Edinburgh. In 2007, she came back to Melbourne to set up her business, KYOKO OSATO.

Kyoko has been making things with yarns and fabric since she was a child. All her pieces are functional and express a simple aesthetic. They are designed with a love of simplicity with which she tries to create a “less is more” contemporary look.
